Dear Praying Friends, Family, and Churches: We want to thank you for your thoughts and prayers for our family. Please excuse the unusually long prayer letter. So many things have happened over the past several weeks that it is hard to fit it all on one page. We thank the Lord for His will for our lives and for His continuous provision. We arrived in Spain on Wednesday morning September 19th, 2007. |

Sept. 19 (Bloomberg) -- The dollar traded within a cent of an all-time low versus the euro and fell against the yen after the Federal Reserve cut interest rates, eroding the yield advantage over both currencies.
Fed policy makers lowered the target rate for overnight loans between banks by a more-than-expected 50 basis points to 4.75 percent, the first decrease since June 2003, to ward off a recession sparked by a housing market collapse. Global stocks surged and bonds fell.

TRUST YE IN THE LORD FOREVER |

Dear Supporting Churches, Friends, and Family
"TRUST YE IN THE LORD FOREVER!"
A preacher told a story once of a couple who had a code phrase that they would say to each other when the going got tough. "2-6-3-4" they would say. They were known by all for continually uttering, "2-6-3-4." Through various circumstances, the husband died an unexpected death. The wife, once again, claimed their life's phrase, 2-6-3-4.
2-6-3-4 is taken from Isaiah 26:3,4 that says, "Thou wilt keep him in perfect peace, whose mind is stayed on thee: because he trusteth in thee. Trust ye in the LORD for ever: for in the LORD JEHOVAH is everlasting strength:" Our duty is not to make our own way or even know what lies before us. We are to keep our minds on the Lord and Trust in Him through every situation and circumstance of our lives. We must trust that the Lord knows what is best for us and keep our hearts and minds tuned into Him. This verse is what kept this couple faithful to the Lord even unto death. We may not understand the situation in our lives, we may not be able to answer the "why" question, but what we do know is that we can keep our minds on Him and TRUST in Him to lead us down the correct path.

Nations Abandoning Dollar, A Dangerous Sign More bad, bad news for the dollar. The United Arab Emirates (UAE) is apparently moving away from the dollar. Bloomberg reported that the UAE "may be the next Middle Eastern country to stop pegging its exchange rate to the U.S. dollar, according to trading in currency forwards."
