Our Testimonies
Jeffrey Andrews

or most of my life, my only desire was to become a professional athlete and achieve fame and fortune. With God far from my thoughts, I continued down the road of fulfilling my own desires. Upon enrollment into the University of Central Florida, I tried out for the football team as a walk-on and made the team. After one year of practicing with the team as a red-shirt freshmen, I suffered a career-ending injury which left me wondering what to do next. I applied for a job at the Marriott Food Service Management Company. The first day that I worked at Marriott, I met a young man, who was a Christian. His life and testimony impacted my life. There was something different about him. As our friendship grew, he invited me to church. I gladly accepted the invitation and attended Beacon Baptist Church in Jupiter, FL. The church was different from any other that I had been to because the Pastor preached the Word of God. After hearing God's message of Salvation, I understood my position before the Lord.  I realized that it did not matter how many good works I had performed, how many times I went to church each week, or what kind of things I professed to do in the"name of God." I began to understand that God did love me and that He came to die for me and because of this act, I must realize my sinful nature, be forgiven, and turn to the Lord Jesus Christ by placing my faith and trust in Him and in what He did on the Cross.  In August of 1997, I realized my sin and trusted the Lord Jesus Christ as my personal Savior. Ever since that point, God has been changing my life.  He has given me a love for Him and a passion to serve Him. God allowed me to meet a Godly young lady at Bible College who shared the same desires. Deanna and I were married May 25th, 2001.  God led us to Pleasant Hill Baptist Church where I served as the youth pastor for 2 years. During our ministry there, God stirred our hearts for missions and has led our family to the Country of Spain.  We are very excited about what God is doing in our lives.

thank the Lord for the Godly family that He has given to me. The oldest of the Velasquez siblings,I was born in Chattanooga, TN. When I was 3 years old, my parents and I moved to Spain where they started their ministry that would last for 14 years. I count it a privilege to have grown up on the mission field and in a Christian home. At the age of 5, I put my faith and trust in the Lord Jesus Christ to be the Savior of my life. All through my childhood years, the Lord worked in my heart in a variety of ways. When I was a teenager, I committed to serve the Lord with my life. My heart's desire was to serve the Lord in missions. When I was 16 years old, my parents turned over their ministry to a national pastor and moved to Venezuela to begin a ministry in the city of Valencia. I was able to spend 6 months in Venezuela before moving to the United States to attend Bible College. During my senior year of College, I met my husband Jeffrey Andrews. I graduated from College in 2001 with a Bachelor in Music Ministries and a Minor in Misisons. Jeff and I were married on May 25th, 2001. On December 4th, 2002, Aaron was born. Our family is happy to be serving the Lord as Missionaries in the country of Spain.
