What We Believe about Missions

globeWe believe that the Bible teaches that missions is the heartbeat of God.  God says in His Word to, "go into all the word and preach the Gospel."  God sent His only begotten Son, Jesus Christ, to die for a people who have rejected Him throughout the ages and who will reject him until the end of time.  God's love is greater and stronger then we could ever imagine.  It is because of His great love for us and because of His name's sake that he has given us the gift of Salvation.  This wonderful gift is not limited to a few elect or to one nation.  This gift is so that all Spaniards can know, all Mexicans can know, all Bolivians can know, all Moroccans can know, all Africans can know, so that all the world can know that there is a God and that He has died for them and for their sins.  Those of us who have had the privilege to partake of this awesome gift of God’s salvation now have a wonderful responsibility.  That responsibility is given to us in Matthew 28:19-20:

“Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost: Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you: and, lo, I am with you always, even unto the end of the world. Amen.”

This responsibility is what we call today, “Missions.”

Our Missions Philosophy

We are so thankful that God has called us to serve Him in the country of Spain. As each day passes, the desire to see people join the family of God grows.  It is not within our own strength to do what He has called us to do.  May He continually prepare us for the great task that He has given to us. Our goals for the mission field are three-fold:

E

vangelize the Lost
- Telling others about Jesus Christ.  We want to share the good news of Jesus Christ and what He did on the cross for all mankind to the people of Spain and the entire world. Our desire is to see the Spanish people come to a saving knowledge of Jesus Christ and have the same peace in their hearts, as we have in ours.

E

nabling Others
- Training Men to train others.  In 2 Timothy 2:2, Paul told Timothy to commit those things that he had learned from Paul to faithful men, who shall be able to teach others also. Our goal is to train the Spanish people in the Word and Work of God so that they will be able to train others in the same thing. We believe that not only Americans can go all over the world as missionaries, but every born again believer that is called of God, no matter what nationality or race, can take the Gospel of Christ to the uttermost parts of the earth and do their part in fulfilling Gods task of world evangelism.

E

stablishing Churches
- Planting Local, Bible-believing Baptist churches, all across the world. The Church is a visible-called out assembly of Believers united together to carry out the great commission. Our goal is to plant as many churches as God will allow us around the world.
