Andrews Prayer Letter - January 2012

Posted by Jeffrey Andrews in Prayer Letters , Missions , Ministry , Christians , Andrews Family , Adoption

Shew me thy ways, O Lord; teach me thy paths.  Lead me in thy truth, and teach me: for thou art the God of my salvation; on thee do I wait all the day. - Psalm 25:4-5

Our desire is that the Lord will show us HIS way and lead us down the right path in HIS truth.  We are thankful for all that the Lord has done in our lives.  We don’t deserve all that we have and all that the Lord has blessed us with.  It is a privilege to serve Him.

Ministry

The ministry continues to go well.  It is amazing how much many of the people have grown and matured in the past year.  At this time last year, the church had been open for less then a year and many of the core group of people that we had were new believers or not yet believers.  Since that time many of the people have matured spiritually by leaps and bounds.  We give all the glory to Jesus for this.

Adoption

Many of you have been praying for our adoption and I will take the rest of the letter to explain what God has done.  9 years ago, God gave us such a wonderful gift.  Our son Aaron was born and he has brought great joy to our lives.  We love him so much.  Our desire had always been to have more kids.  Deanna was able to get pregnant again however she miscarried 12 weeks later.  Since that time, Deanna has not been able to get pregnant.  After many doctors visits, discussions, and prayers, we decided that we would try to adopt a baby.  In January of 2010, we began the process of filling out the necessary paperwork and fulfilling the requirements for adopting a baby.  We were approved shortly after and the waiting journey began.

Last June, we arrived back in the USA for a short furlough.  We also had to renew our home study for our adoption.  Our prayer was that the Lord would allow us to adopt while we were back on furlough.  As the end of our furlough began to near, we realized that it was not going to happen.  As we stood in the airport waiting to check in to our flight back to Spain, we got a call from our agent letting us know that we had been matched!!!  We were stunned.  It didn’t seem real.  The thing that we had been waiting for, for so long was finally becoming a reality.  Of course, we were thrilled!

On January 6th, 2012, Kaira (pronounced Care-Uh) was born.  Her name means, “beloved” or “friend” but also means “right or opportune moment.”  After many years of trying to have a baby, miscarrying, and waiting for the adoption and mentally planning of when would be the best time for us to adopt, God has given us this precious gift in the absolute “right and opportune moment.”

As I write this letter, Kaira is now 5 days old and she couldn’t be any more precious.  We love her to death and at times it still seems unreal...hard to believe she is really ours.  :)  We couldn’t be more happy and we praise the Lord for this opportunity and for allowing us to care for, love, and raise this bundle of joy!  Thank you so much for all the prayers and kind words throughout this adoption process.

Andrews Prayer Letter - November 2011

It is a privilege to serve the Lord.  We feel honored that each day He allows us to glorify His name.

Adoption

I wanted to give an update on our adoption since so many people have asked us how it is going.  We are still in the process of adopting and waiting to get the call or email informing us that we will have a new addition to the family.  We have had some possibilities which have been exciting.  We have had about 4 opportunities so far where we were able to present our profile and allow the mother to consider our family.  So far, none of these opportunities have worked out but the Lord continues to give us other opportunities which is exciting.  Right now there are two possibilities that we are praying about.  Things are moving along and we ask that you would continue to pray that the Lord would give us the right child at the right time.

Ministry

We have enjoyed being able to share what the Lord has done in our ministry in Spain.  We appreciate the investment that each church has made.  We have thoroughly enjoyed seeing old friends and people that we met years ago.  Many of the churches have been really excited about what the Lord is doing in Spain.  We have been in some great churches and appreciate their heart for missions.  I have found that furlough is a great time as it allows you to step away from the ministry and revaluate what is going on and how you can better things for the future.

The ministry continues to move along.  The team in Spain is carrying on and doing a wonderful job.  As most of you know, we were able to complete our evangelistic projects.  The church had been open a little over a year and we have been able to make the Gospel available to our entire city 2 times.  We are excited about that and we have seen much fruit.  At the heart of our ministry is life on life discipleship, training, and church planting.  We have some great people in our church and it is a joy to see men coming to Christ and expressing the desire to grow and serve the Lord.  Our desire is to seed Spain with the Gospel and see more churches planted for His glory.

The church has been growing during our absence.  When we left for furlough, the church had grown to an average of around 25 people.  Over the past couple of months, the church has grown to average around 35-40 people!  The last two Sundays, there were 48 and 49 people, respectively, in attendance!  Praise the Lord for His goodness!  One of the young men that I have had the privilege of working with and building a relationship with since before he came to Christ has expressed interest in the possibility of being a Pastor or Missionary one day if the Lord so leads.  We are so thrilled to see people who knew not God, coming to a saving knowledge of Jesus Christ and expressing the desire to know Him and His Word more and serve Him in the ministry.  That’s what it’s all about!

Family

Furlough is always a wonderful time because you get to enjoy a lot of family time.  Aaron has thoroughly enjoyed traveling to many different places and meeting new people.  However, one of the things that has been a real blessing is Aaron’s willingness to participate in the ministry.  Since we have been back, Aaron has been able to sing with Deanna and minister to the churches through song.  Check out the video of Aaron singing by clicking here.  We praise the Lord for allowing our family to serve Him!

Thank you for your prayers, support, and love!

Andrews Prayer Letter - July 2011

Dear Praying friends, family, and churches:

FURLOUGH IS HERE!

We have arrived in the States and have started visiting churches. We are currently at Beacon Baptist Church, the church where I was saved, baptized and called into full-time ministry. We were able to give an update about our ministry and we have been able to spend a few extra days here while Aaron attends their VBS. The people are so kind and loving and we are so glad to be here.

We will be traveling much during our time here. We will be as far south as South Florida, as far north as Maine and as far west as California. We are looking forward to visiting every church that has scheduled with us and being able to give an update on what God is doing in Spain.

MINISTRY

The Lord continues to work in Spain and continues to amaze us each day. We are almost done with our “Bible in every home” project. We have been able to put Bibles in over 35,000 homes in our city. Just as a reminder, the “Bible in Every Home Project” is a project where our goal is to get a John and Romans into every home in our city. We have made up a packet that consists of a John and Romans, a gospel tract, and an invitation to our church. Pray that God will continue to penetrate the hearts and lives of the people in Spain as they receive the Word of God!

On June 12th, we had a special service and we called it “Friend Day.” We encouraged all of our people to invite at least one friend or family member. We planned many special things for the service including special music, several video testimonies and some video interviews that we recorded the week before of the people in our city. David, my brother-in-law, preached a message titled “How good is good enough” based on the premise that if we use the standard that all good people will go to Heaven, that idea presents us with many problems. It was a great day as many visitors came out and we had a high day of 50 people. Our people were very excited and each one had an integral part in making that day a success.

It is exciting to see our people growing in Christ. At the heart of our ministry is the aspect of reproduction. Our goal is to disciple and train others to do the work of the ministry and for them to continue to reproduce themselves and teach others to do the same. We have seen our people grow through one on one discipleship and we are preparing them to be able to disciple others. We have implemented this on a small scale as I was able to train Eduardo, one of the men in our church, to take over the media while I am gone. He does a great job and it doesnʼt even feel like I am gone. However, we didnʼt stop there. Eduardo has also trained another man in our church named, Juan, how to do the media. So on a small scale, we have seen 2 Timothy 2:2 put into action and we are so amazed at what God is doing in our church.

We sincerely thank you for your prayers and support and look forward to seeing many of you soon!

Dear Praying friends, family, and churches:

FURLOUGH PLANS

I would like to announce again that we will be taking a FURLOUGH this year starting in the summer.  We are planning on being in the states from the summer through the fall.  Many churches have responded since our last prayer letter and our schedule is filling up fast.  If any church would like for us to come and give an update about our ministry, please let us know.  If you have contacted us by one of the methods listed and I have not responded, this means I have not received your request.  Please contact me, preferably by email, with your request.  We have provided a form with this prayer letter that you can mail back to our overseas address or you can email me at the following address:  jefe40472@gmail.com.  You can also go to the web address below and contact us via the form that is available there.

http://www.thatallmayknow.net/furlough

We would also like to make our supporting churches aware that we will be trying to raise more support while we are back.  Due to the economy and churches that have dropped us or who have lowered our support, we have lost almost 10% of our support since we arrived in Spain.  We need to gain back this loss.  If some of our supporting churches were able to raise our support a little, we would not have to seek out too many new churches.  We are certain that the Lord will provide for this need.

MINISTRY

The Lord continues to work in our midst.  In our last prayer letter, we mentioned that we finished the Gospel DVD project.  We were able to place a Gospel DVD into every household in our city.  We have now started a new project.  It is called “A Bible in Every Home.”  Bearing Precious Seed donated 50,000 copies of John and Romans to our ministry.  We are placing a copy of the John and Romans, a Gospel Tract, and an invitation to our church in each household.  We have already been able to get the Bible packets into over 13,300 households.  After the first week of doing the Bible project, we had a family visit our church.  They said that they were on vacation and during their vacation they decided to get serious about finding a church.  They prayed that the Lord would direct them to a church.  When they returned home, they checked their mail and they told us that the Bible packet was sitting in their mailbox.  Countless others have received the Word of God and a clear presentation of the Gospel.
On March 27th, we had our third baptism.  We were able to baptize 5 people.  It was an exciting time in the life of our ministry.  Paco and Veronica, a Spanish couple who recently received Christ as their Savior were baptized.  Carlos, who gave his life to the Lord several weeks earlier, was baptized.  His wife Olenka, who placed her faith in Christ a couple of years earlier was baptized and Angie, who has struggled with the issue of baptism for many years, surrendered her will to the Lord and was baptized.  Each person mentioned is also getting one on one, life on life discipleship.  We praise the Lord for all that He is doing in our midst and we thank our supporting churches for making all of this possible.

Dear Praying friends, family, and churches:

FURLOUGH PLANS

Before I give an update on what the Lord has been doing, I would like to announce that we will be taking a FURLOUGH this year starting in the summer.  We are planning on being in the states from the summer through the fall.  So, we would like any church that would like for us to come and give an update about our ministry to please let us know.  We have provided a card with this prayer letter that you can mail back to our overseas address or you can email me here.  You can also go to the web address below and contact us via the form that is available there.

http://www.thatallmayknow.net/furlough

If you email us, please let us know if you have a preference of us coming for a missions conference or just a Sunday Morning, Sunday Evening, or Wednesday Night.  We are looking forward to reporting to as many churches as possible and giving an update on all that the Lord has done!

MINISTRY

The Lord continues to work in our midst.  I am happy to announce that we were able to FINISH the DVD project.  When we started the project, our goal was to get a Gospel DVD into every household in our city.  We “guesstimated” that there were 50,000 households in our city of approximately 150,000 people.  Our estimations weren’t far off as we distributed, a total of, 38,883 Gospel DVD’s.  Every household in our city has been given the OPPORTUNITY to hear a clear presentation of the Gospel.  Our goal is to saturate our entire city each year with the Gospel in some form or another.  Our next project is called “A Bible in every home.”  Thanks to Bearing Precious Seed of Milford, Ohio, we have 50,000 copies of John and Romans and we will be placing a copy of the Word of God along with an invitation to the church and a gospel tract into every household in our city.  We have already begun preparing the Bibles, invitations, and tracts and plan on beginning the distribution in the coming weeks.

So far the Gospel DVD has been our most effective form of outreach.  Thousands of people have watched the DVD and gone to our website that is listed at the end of the DVD and 3 people have come to know Christ as a direct result of the DVD.

It is amazing to see people come to Christ but it is also amazing to see God working in peoples lives.  One of our main goals is to train leaders.  We do this through discipleship.  We aren’t just talking about 12 lessons and we’re done.  We are referring to getting into the people’s lives, being around them as much as possible and always teaching and discipling them, one on one.  We have seen God do so many great things in the people’s lives as we walk with them through every situation and circumstance.  We have seen a random soccer game become a time of edification and training.  But we take it one step further.  We focus on teaching them for the purpose of them training someone else.  We must teach them so they can teach others also (2 Timothy 2:2).  Above all it is humbling to see God work in their lives and do things that we could never imagine possible!

We are humbled and gracious for all you do for our ministry!

January 2011

Dear Praying friends, family, and churches:

Happy New Year!  The new year always brings a sense of renewal and freshness.  We can look back at the things we accomplished and the mistakes we made and reevaluate our priorities for the coming year.  As we look back on 2010, I want to recap all that God has done in our ministry.  I apologize for the lengthy letter, but it is hard to keep short all that God has done in the past year.

THE MINISTRY IN 2010

In January of 2010, we began working on remolding the building that would one day be our church building.  We were meeting with one lady, Isabel, in the living room of my in-laws’ apartment.  We had some very sweet Bible studies with this faithful lady who continued to come in spite of us just beginning.

In February of 2010, we were able to hold out first baptism.  Even though our building wasn’t complete, we were able to baptize 2 people.  It was a very exciting time in our ministry.

In March of 2010, we semi-finished the building to where we could move from my in-laws’ living room to the church building.  However, we were still not officially open.  The metal door that protects the window was still closed and no one could tell that the building was “open for business.”

In April of 2010, we began our DVD project.  One of our goals has always been to reach our city with the Gospel.  We began delivering what would eventually be around 40,000 Gospel DVD’s to every household in our city.

In May of 2010, we finally finished the “escaparate” (window that displays information) and we were able to open the metal door that protects the window.  At this point, the building looked like it was open and became the “unofficial” start of our church.  A week after opening the metal door and preparing the window, Stefan passed by, saw the “esacaparate” and came in and joined us for a service.  Since then he has trusted the Lord as Savior, been baptized, gone through one on one discipleship, and is a faithful member of our church.

In June of 2010, we continued saturating our city with the Gospel.  My father-in-law and I were busy visiting people who were contacting us as a result of our website, DVD project, church services, etc.

In July of 2010, my in-laws went to visit a couple who had come to one of our Bible studies.  When they got there, the also met their aunt.  Her name is Sonia.  As they explained the Gospel message to the couple, Sonia was very interested in what was being said.  When they were done, Sonia expressed her desire to trust Christ as her Savior.  Also during the month of July, Stefan came to us and told us that he had “come to Christ” while reading the scriptures during the week.

In August of 2010, we were contacted, through our website, by Eduardo, a young Brazilian man who was searching for the truth.  We offer Bibles on our website and he requested one.  We went to visit him and he was very open.  A few weeks later, he came to our special service and gave his life to the Lord.  He has been a huge blessing to us and the church and has been growing tremendously.  During the month of August, we also had some very high days in attendance, our highest being 41 people.  For a church that “unofficially” opened it’s doors 3 months earlier, we were very excited.

In September of 2010, Paco, a Spaniard, came into the service to join us.  He came in late and then left early so we were not able to meet him.  We wondered if he would return and sure enough, he returned the next week.  We found out later that Paco was a direct result of the DVD project.  He had received the DVD, watched it, and then decided to come to church.  Paco was an anomaly to us because he never missed a service and he wasn’t even a Christian.  He even came out to our baptismal service that we held in another church some 25 minutes away.  Paco has been a blessing and it has been awesome to see how God has worked in his life.  Paco has recently made a profession of faith and he is currently going through one on one discipleship.  He has a hunger for the Word of God and his countenance has changed since the first time he walked through the doors.  Also in September, we continued saturating our city with the Gospel of Christ.  We had placed DVD’s in 23,000 households.

In October of 2010, we had completed 85% of our city with the DVD project.  We had given almost 35,000 households a Gospel DVD.  However, the most exciting part is that we had a couple people from our church that began going with us to give out the Gospel.  It is great to see people saved and baptized, however, it is a real joy to see them begin to serve.  On the 31st of October, we held our 2nd baptism.  This was a very emotional night for our church and for us as missionaries.  We had 20 people from our church go to a neighboring church about 25 minutes away and we were able to baptize 3 people.  Eduardo, Stefan, and Sonia were baptized that night.

In November of 2010, we began to see a core group starting to emerge.  We started to see the faithfulness of the people who had been saved and baptized.  During this time, Carlos and Olenka, a Peruvian couple, visited for the first time.  They were also a direct result of the DVD project.  They received a DVD, watched it, and decided to come to church.  They have been attending our services faithfully.  Please pray for Carlos and his wife as they are both searching for the truth and seem very close to understanding and trusting in Christ as their Savior.  Also, David and Favianna Velasquez, the 3rd member of our team, arrived in Spain.

In December of 2010, we had a couple of special services for the Christmas season.  Both services were a huge blessing and we could see the people becoming more firm, not only in their relationship with God, but also in their relationship towards one another.
It truly has been a wonderful year.  I think that 2010, the first year of our ministry, will be remembered by us as one of the best and most special years.  The Lord has truly done something special in our midst.  In 2010 we saw:

  • The start of a new church
  • The Gospel being spread to an entire city of 150,000 people
  • 3 people saved and baptized
  • 2 others who had been saved previously were baptized (5 people baptized in total)
  • 4 people begin a 16 lesson one on one discipleship series, 2 of which finished.

I can’t express how amazed we are at how God, not us, is doing the work in their lives.  In 2011, we look forward to what God is going to do in their lives and what new people will come our way.

In 2011, we plan to saturate our city AGAIN with the word of God.  Bearing Precious Seed has given us 50,000 John and Romans and we plan on giving every household the Word of God, along with a Gospel tract and an invitation to our church.  We also plan on strengthening the core group that we have with life on life discipleship and sound Biblical preaching and teaching.  Our desire is to see our church grow and see the people who were saved in 2010, become leaders and mature Christians who can eventually teach others who come our way.  We want to thank each and every supporter that we have, each and every individual and church who gave toward our DVD project, and each and every person who is praying for us.  May God give us a better year in 2011!

Dear Praying friends, family, and churches:

We praise the Lord because He is really working here in Parla, Spain.  Each week is exciting as we see the ones who have given their lives to Christ grow in their faith through His Word.  At this moment, we have the privilege of holding personal Bible studies with 4 different people.  This is a time of not only good sound Bible teaching, but also a time of building a relationship with each person.  In the next few weeks, we will begin these Bible studies (discipleship) with 2 more people.

Please pray for Paco and his wife.  Paco came to the church about 7 or 8 weeks ago.  He came as a direct result of the DVD project.  He received the DVD, watched it and then began looking for the church.  At that time, we did not have a sign up as we were still working on the building and getting things prepped to open.  He said he drove around for a while until one day he noticed the sign and the building.  Then, he said, it took him a while before he actually entered the building.  Once he came in (about 7 or 8 weeks ago) he has not missed one service.  The last 3 weeks he has brought his wife and daughter.  Our desire is to involve Paco in our personal Bible studies so he can have a better understanding of Salvation and of God’s Word. The Lord is working in their hearts and we ask you to pray for them that they will put their faith and trust in the One true Savior!

Very shortly, I will give a full update on our DVD project.  However, I would like to thank everyone who has prayed and given toward the project.  I am glad to report that we are ALMOST done!  What that means is that we will have given a Gospel DVD to every single household in our city.  We are very close and very excited about this.  Please continue to pray.

On October 31st, we had the privilege of having a baptism.  We were able to baptize 3 people.  It is always exciting to see people take the step of obedience of baptism.  Pray for all of these as they continue to grow in the Lord.  Below are pictures of the Baptism.  You can also go to the link provided below to see a video of the baptism.

Andrews Prayer Letter - September 2010

Posted by Jeffrey Andrews in Untagged

Dear praying friends, family, and churches:

Greetings from the Andrews Family in Spain.  Much has happened since our last Prayer Letter so I will get started right away.  In the last prayer letter I asked everyone to pray for Stefan.  He is the man who was walking by the church building and saw the Escaparate (window with information) and came in to join us for a service.  My father-in-law and I talked with him and spent time with him any chance we got.  After about 8 weeks, Stefan came to my father-in-law and I and said he was reading the Bible that week and he came upon a verse where the Lord said, “... come to Me...”.  He told us that he gave his life to the Lord. We praise the Lord for this.  We have been able to have discipleship classes with him and he has been growing each week.  We are scheduled to baptize him sometime in October.  It is amazing because we have seen such a change in his life.

Each week the Lord brings new people to the church.  It is exciting to see people walk through the door that we have never met, nor had contact with.  We have worked hard at getting the Gospel out, making contacts, and letting people know who we are.  However, many of the people that have come are not a result of any of the “things” that we have been doing.  To me, this is great.  Many might say that God sees our faithfulness in obeying Him and blesses accordingly.  I can agree with this to a certain extent, but for me, it is a reminder that it is God who is working in this ministry.  It is His ministry; not ours. It is not my ability to make contacts, setup a website, produce a DVD, preach a good sermon that brings people and keeps people.  It is God working in this ministry and in the hearts of the people that brings them and keeps them.  Does that mean we sit back and do nothing because God will do all the work?  Of course not.  We work hard in obeying what God has commanded us to do, “Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost: Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you: and, lo, I am with you always, even unto the end of the world. Amen.”

We have so many different aspects of our ministry and things we are trying to do to get the Gospel to the people here that I can only focus on one or two in any given prayer letter.  I want to praise the Lord for how he has used our media ministry, specifically the internet.  We set up a website several months ago called www.estudialabiblia.com (Study the Bible) for the purpose of giving the people, who watch the DVD that we are giving out, a place to go and get more answers.  On the website there are articles and information that can help them learn more about God, the Bible, Salvation through Christ, etc.  We also have a place where they can request a Bible and when they do, we will personally deliver it to them.  The website took off much more then I ever imagined.  Spanish speaking people from all over the world have found the website, read the information, watched the video, and even requested Bibles.

Eduardo found our website because he was searching for God and the truth.  He typed into the google search engine, “What is the true religion?”  After typing that in, the first website to pop up was ours.  He read the info, watched the video, and requested a Bible.  I got the request and realized that where he lived was about an hour away from where we live.  It seemed a little far but I thought to myself at least we can get him a Bible and share the Gospel with him even if we never see him again.  So my father-in-law and I made the journey and had a great visit.  To make a long story short, he ended up driving an hour one-way to come to a special service we had 2 weeks later and at the end of the service he raised his hand when the question was asked, “Who would like to give their lives to the Lord?”  We praise the Lord for how he works through every means possible.  I would love to write more, but I am running out of space.  :)  Please subscribe to our blog if you haven't already www.thatallmayknow.net/subscribe so you can read all the details of how God is working in our ministry and in our lives.

Andrews Prayer Letter - July 2010

Posted by Jeffrey Andrews in Velasquez Family , Spain , Prayer Requests , Prayer Letters , Missionaries , Ministry , Bible , Andrews Family

The DVD Project

A little over a year ago, I was talking to David Velasquez (the other member of our team) and we were discussing plans for the ministry and how to effectively reach the people with the Gospel. I expressed to him my belief that Spain has not been seeded like other countries. For years there has been “pockets” with the Gospel message, but a constant seeding of the Gospel year after year has seemingly eluded Spain. In our discussion, David mentioned being in a mission’s conference and hearing the preacher talk about going door to door and leaving a bag full of goodies on each door handle. Inside the bag was information about the church and a cassette tape containing a clear message on Salvation. The preacher mentioned that the next Sunday, 40 new visitors showed up. As we went back and forth, based on this idea, the DVD project was born. Shortly after our conversion, we set the wheels in motion. We came up with a script, bought the equipment, recorded the video, and there began our DVD project. It has taken some time to get everything set up, duplicate the DVD’s and strategically plan out our attack, but with the Lord’s help, we have been able to get the Gospel DVD into 22,543 homes. So what does this mean? We calculate that on average, there are 3 people per household. That means that we have given 67,629 people the chance to hear a clear presentation of the Gospel. Why is this exciting? If a person on average talks to 2 people per day 7 days a weeks, 365 days a year about the Lord, in a span of 50 years, that person would have talked to 36,500 people. That is great. With this DVD project we have been able to give almost double that number of people a chance to hear the Gospel in less then 3 months.

So is the DVD project working?

That is a question I get a lot. What results have we seen from it. Actually, our primary goal for this project was not to fill our church, although, we hope people come because of a result of it. Our primary goal for this project was to give everyone in our city a chance to hear a clear presentation of the Gospel. You ask, “Isn’t that what church and the preaching is for?” We would love it if in 30 or 40 years of ministry, every single person in the city walked through the door of the church to hear a Gospel message, but ask any pastor or missionary and you will see that it just doesn’t happen. As a matter of fact, the number of people from your city that will visit the church will be a very low percentage. Understanding this, we decided to take the message of the Gospel to them. By placing it in their mailbox, every home and the people in it, will have a chance to hear a Gospel message on DVD even if they never grace the doors of the church. So, yes, it is working because we are fulfilling the purpose that we set out to do. At the end of the DVD, there is a website that they are directed to so they can learn more about the Bible. We have averaged 400 to 500 hits per month on the website. The message is being heard.
We have been able to get the DVD to half of the homes in our city. Lord, willing, we will finish the other half very soon. We don’t plan on stopping there. Part of having a good harvest is continuing to seed and seed. Our plan is to continue getting the Gospel to our city, not just by way of DVD, but in many different ways. We want to thank every individual and every church that has given towards this project. Rest assured that every dime went to the cost of producing this DVD.

THE CHURCH

We are not “officially” a church yet, however we have been holding Bible studies. A lot of work has gone in to readying the building and preparing and doing the DVD project. However, the Lord has been so good as over the past 6 weeks, we have had visitors every week. Stefan walked by the building and saw our “Escaparate” (window with information) and was interested and came in for the service. That was 7 weeks ago and he has been back every Sunday except for one. He has heard the message of the Gospel many times and my father-in-law and I have had good conversations with him about Salvation. Please pray that the Lord would work in his heart. Last week we had 5 visitors with a total of 12 people. We are very excited about what the Lord is doing and is going to do here in Spain.

Dear Praying Friends, Family, and Churches,

It is such a joy to serve the Lord.  The more I am able to do so, the more I realize how much of a privilege it is to serve Him.  We are excited about what the Lord is doing and is going to do in our ministry.

THE MINISTRY

We have been working on fixing up the building that the Lord has given us.  We are in a great location.  There are so many people that walk by the building each day.  I mentioned over the past few prayer letters that I would provide pictures of the building.  You can see below the before and after pictures.  There are still a few little things left to do i.e. decorating, etc. but the majority of it is done.

In Spain, most businesses have what is called an “escaparate” which is basically a window where they display products, sales, etc. so the people can see what they offer.  It is a pretty big thing here and many people take note of the “escaparate.”  The bottom right picture is our “escaparate.”  We have posters promoting a couple websites we have and displaying the time of our Bible Studies.  It also has several Christian books and literature displayed, as well as Bibles.  The “escaparate” has been on display for less then a week and it is amazing the amount of people who stop in front of the window to read and look at what is posted.

THE DVD PROJECT

The DVD project is in full swing.  We have been able to get the Gospel on DVD into 7,528 households.  This is very exciting because thousands of people now have the chance to watch and hear a very clear presentation of the Gospel.  At the end of the presentation, it directs them to a website.  We have had many people visit the site and several people have even requested a Bible.  The power of this project is not in the technology, the DVDs or the missionaries, it is in the Gospel of Christ.  “For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ: for it is the power of God unto salvation to every one that believeth;...”
