| The Labour is Not in Vain! by Jeffrey Andrews | Comment (1) |
One of the things I enjoy doing is developing websites. I am not the best that is out there, but I enjoy doing it. For several years now, I have taken a liking to video, web, and design projects. I basically learned these things out of "firced learning" when I began deputation. I had to come up with an information packet, prayer card, video and website to start deputation. So I started "tinkering" around and little by little I have learned some things. I have had the privilege of putting together video presentations and prayer cards for missionaries and also developing their websites. Since being in Madrid, Spain, I have been able to help 2 missionaries with a church website. The main purpose of these websites are so they can have an internet presence for people who are surfing the internet for churches. There is a lot of work that’s goes into developing a website and maintaining it. With these 2 websites, it is great to know that the labor is not in vain! Bill Williams (One of the missionaries that I helped build a site for) emailed me the other day and said a family that found the church website visited his church on Sunday. Also, I have developed a site for the church that we are serving in. We have had several visitors come to the church and say that they found the church through the website, including two young men from Brazil who came yesterday to the morning services. One was a professing Christian while the other was not. We thank the Lord that he was able to hear a clear presentation of the Gospel.
