HE IS WONDERFUL!!! PDF Print E-mail

The longer I am a Christian, the more I realize how faithful and how wonderful my Lord and Savior is. He has done so many miraculous things in our lives, especially over the past few months. We praise Him for all that he has done in our lives.

Our Visas

Many of you have been following the saga of our visa situation. From the time we arrived in the country, the process has been shaky at best. We were led all over Madrid to many different offices and no one had answers. Once we finally found the correct path, we hit another roadblock. We were told that we were going to be denied and if it had not have been for God’s mercy and miraculous provision; we would be starting the process all over again. Once we straightened things out with my paperwork, we still had no clue about Deanna and Aaron’s paperwork. Again, we went to several different offices and they didn’t have sufficient answers. Finally, we found an office that was able to help us. After a very long journey, it looks like our paperwork situation has finally been resolved. In about 2 weeks, I will be returning to Madrid to pick up my residence card. We will also be going back to the States so that Deanna and Aaron can finally get the Visas they need in order to get their residence cards. We praise the Lord for His provision in our lives. Thank you all who have prayed for us. We have been encouraged by the emails and notes that have let us know you are praying.

The Ministry

We are excited to report that we will soon be moving to the Madrid area. Madrid is the capital of Spain and has approximately 6 to 7 million people with just a handful of independent Baptist churches. We believe the Lord is leading us to start a work somewhere in the area of southern Madrid. We will be work as a team with 2 other missionary families, David and Favianna Velasquez and Julio and Andrea Velasquez. We are very excited about the great possibilities of what God is going to do.

We have learned much and enjoyed our time here in Gijon. I have been progressing with the language and look forward to learning more. We have experienced disappointing times, as well as great moments of encouragement. Learning a language takes time and at times it seems laborious because I desire to be talking and working with the people. However, God knows and allows us opportunities to glorify His name at whatever stage of the game we are in. I have been able to witness to my Spanish teacher and invite all of the students in my Spanish class to church. My teacher has shown much interest in wanting to talk about the Bible and even said she wants to visit the church one day. Another girl in my class has attended our services twice and we expect her to return again. We have been able to put gospel literature into the homes of thousands of people in the city of Gijon. During our time here, we have been able to learn many things. We have observed the people and situations and we are excited about our future ministry. God has given Deanna and me many ideas of how to reach the people and we are looking forward to implementing these ideas when we begin our work in Madrid. Please pray for me as I continue to work on the language. We are excited for our team to arrive in Spain and get started in the work together.

Exciting News

As many of you know, Deanna and her siblings (David and Deborah Velasquez) have recorded a music CD. They have been singing with one another for most of their lives and God has allowed them to professionally record a music CD. The main goal for recording the CD was to glorify the Lord and be a blessing to all who would be able to hear it. We have received so many emails and comments about how the CD is such a blessing. We feel that the goal was accomplished. Our desire from the beginning was to have at least one CD in English and one CD in Spanish. We have now sold enough CD’s to begin the production of the next CD and so we are pleased to announce that they will be recording a Spanish CD this summer. We have already booked the dates with the recording studio. Lord willing, we will have the CD’s ready for sale by the end of the summer. We have had so many people write and ask when they would be coming out with a Spanish CD. It won’t be long. You can keep up with the progress on their website www.alltheglory.org.

Thank you for your faithful prayers, support, friendships, and love. May the Lord bless you and use you for His honor and His glory.
