jeffFor most of my life, my only desire was to become a professional athlete and achieve fame and fortune. With God far from my thoughts, I continued down the road of fulfilling my own desires. Upon enrollment into the University of Central Florida, I tried out for the football team as a walk-on and made the team. After one year of practicing with the team as a red-shirt freshmen, I suffered a career-ending injury which left me wondering what to do next.

I applied for a job at the Marriott Food Service Management Company. The first day that I worked at Marriott, I met a young man, who was a Christian. His life and testimony impacted my life. There was something different about him. As our friendship grew, he invited me to church. I gladly accepted the invitation and attended Beacon Baptist Church in Jupiter, FL. The church was different from any other that I had been to because the Pastor preached the Word of God.

After hearing God's message of Salvation, I understood my position before the Lord.  I realized that it did not matter how many good works I had performed, how many times I went to church each week, or what kind of things I professed to do in the"name of God." I began to understand that God did love me and came to die for me and because of this act, I must realize my sinful nature, be forgiven, and turn to the Lord Jesus Christ by placing my faith and trust in Him and in what He did on the Cross.  In August of 1997, I realized my sin and trusted the Lord Jesus Christ as my personal Savior.

Ever since that point, God has changed my life.  He has given me a love for Him and a passion to serve Him. God allowed me to meet a Godly young lady at Bible College who shared the same desires.  Deanna and I were married May 25th, 2001.  God led us to Pleasant Hill Baptist Church where I served as the youth pastor for 2 years. During our ministry there, God stirred our hearts for missions and is now directing our family to the Country of Spain.  We are very excited about what God is doing in our lives.
